Peanuts and sesame laddu Recipe | Peanut ladoo recipe | Sesame ladoo recipe


Today I am going to share you a healthy and nutritious, peanuts and sesame laddu or ladoo. These healthy and tasty laddu’s are rich in iron and calcium, which are good especially for growing kids and women. We can make these tasty laddu for any festivals or else as a snack.

These healthy and tasty laddu can make with less ingredients and with in less point of time.  In my family we will have daily at least one laddu as a snack.

Ingredients for Peanuts and sesame laddu:
  • Shredded Jaggery – 1 cup or adjust according to your taste
  • Sesame seeds – ½ cup
  • Peanuts – ½ cup
  • Ghee – 2 tsps.
  • Cardamom powder – ½ tsp

Procedure for Peanuts and sesame laddu:
  • Dry roast peanuts in a heavy bottom pan on a low heat until they are well roasted and golden in colour. Now transfer to other plate and allow them to cool down completely.
  • Now into the same pan, dry roast sesame seeds on a low heat until they are well roasted and light gold colour. Do not brown them. Transfer to other pate and allow them to cool down completely.
  • When roasted peanuts are at room temperature, remove the skin of roasted peanuts by rubbing it with both palms as shown in the video and grind these peanuts into fine powder by using the mixie jar. Do not grind it too much it will become paste, just you have to grind for 2 to 3 pulses and while grinding, make sure the mixie jar is dry. Transfer to other plate and set this aside. 
  • On the other side roasted sesame seeds are at room temperature, Now grind sesame seeds into fine powder by using small mixie jar. you have to grind it just for 1 or 2 pulses otherwise it will become paste and oozes out oil. Transfer to other plate.
  • As shown in the video, I have grinded peanuts and sesame seeds into fine powder. Now set this aside and also grind shredded jaggery into fine powder just for 2 to 3 pulses. Now to this add cardamom powder and mix it once completely. Here we have to grind sesame seeds, peanuts and jaggery separately otherwise they will not grind into fine powder. 
  • Now to the grinded jaggery, add peanuts, sesame seeds powder and grind it just for 2 to 3 pulses. Now transfer the mixture to other plate and to this add 2 tsps ghee. Mix it well completely and make into small round shaped balls. If it is not forming into round shaped ball add few drops of ghee and make it into round shaped balls. Transfer to other plate and repeat the same process for the remaining mixture.
  • Here our healthy and tasty, peanuts and sesame laddus are ready now.  you can store these laddus by refrigerating in an airtight container or in a ziplock bag for about a month and serve it daily as a snack especially for growing kids and women.
