Veg Keema Egg Paratha Recipe | Soya Keema Egg Paratha Recipe | Healthy & tasty soya keema egg paratha recipe

Veg Keema Egg Paratha or Soya Keema Egg Paratha is a Healthy and Tasty recipe. This is a perfect dish for lunch box and even kids will love to have this dish. In this recipe, paratha is made with whole wheat flour and also can make with All-purpose flour too. Frequently i make this at home with whole wheat flour.

For Vegetarians the filling can be prepared by using veg keema or paneer or egg burji of your choice and in this recipe, for filling i am using veg keema (Soya Granules) are rich in protein and fiber.
For Non-vegetarians, you can also replace with Mutton keema or Chicken keema or Prawns fry or any Non-veg fry of your choice or even can have it plain egg paratha without filling.

This recipe is simple and easy to make when you have dough in hand. When you are preparing this recipe for lunch box, wrap with aluminum foil so that will be warm until having it for lunch.

Ingredients for paratha dough:
  • Wheat flour -  1 1/2 Cups + 2 tbsps for dusting the dough
  • Salt - Pinch or Adjust to your taste
  • Oil - 1/4 Cup (Some into the dough and some for frying)
  • Water - Required amount
Ingredients for Egg Omlet:
  • Egg - 3 to 5 (for 3 to 5 veg keema egg paratha)
  • Salt - Required amount
  • Red Chili powder - Required amount
  • Turmeric powder - Required amount
  • Pepper Powder - Required amount
  • Water or Milk - 1 Tbsp
  • Oil - 3 Tsps for 3 egg parathas
Ingredients for Veg Kemma:
  • Oil - 2 Tbsps
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp
  • Green chili - 2 (Finely Chopped) or adjust to your taste
  • Onion - 1 Large (Finely Chopped)
  • Soya Granules - 1/2 Cup
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/8 Tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Red Chili Powder - 1/2 tsp or adjust to your taste
  • Garam Masala powder - 1/2 Tsp or adjust to your taste
  • Ginger & Garlic Paste - 1 Tbsp
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Salt - To taste
  • Coriander leaves - 3 to 4 Tbsp (Finely Chopped)
Procedure to make veg keema:
  • Boil some water in a heavy bottom vessel on a medium flame, once it starts to boil add little amount of salt and soya granules. Cook this for few seconds less than a minute, it doesn't take much time to cook this soya granules.
  • Now turn off the flame, drain out all the water by using strainer and squeeze out all the water. Transfer to other bowl and Set aside.
  • On the other side take a heavy bottom pan on a medium flame, add oil into it. Once the oil is enough hot, add cumin seeds, Chopped green chilies, Curry leaves and saute it well for few seconds. Now add chopped onions, pinch of salt, turmeric powder, Mix it well completely cover this and Cook until the onions turn to light golden colour on a medium flame and also stir in between cooking to prevent sticking at the bottom.
  • When the onions turned to light golden colour. Add enough amount of salt, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, freshly crushed ginger and garlic paste and saute it well for few seconds.
  • Now add boiled soya granules and mix it well completely. Cover this with a lid and cook on a low flame for 2 minutes so that all the masala with stick to the soya granules. Now add finely chopped coriander leaves mix it well and turn off the flame. 
  • Here our healthy and tasty veg keema is ready now. Now let's start to make paratha.
Procedure to make paratha:
  • Into a mixing bowl, add wheat flour, salt, tbsp oil and mix it once completely. Now add water little by little and make into soft dough like chapati dough. Grease the dough with few drops of oil, cover the dough and rest it for half an hour. (Instead of wheat flour, all-purpose flour can be used).
  • When the dough is rested for half an hour, knead the dough well for 2 minutes and divide the dough into equal portions like golf ball size or desired size of your choice.
  • Now take a dough ball and cover the remaining, dust the dough ball with some flour and roll it like a chapatti by using the rolling pin. if required dust some flour.
  • Now add few drops of oil and spread it gently and evenly with your fingers and also sprinkle some flour on the top as shown in the video.
  • Now lift one end of the paratha and start making pleats like saree folding as shown in the video. Hold both the edges and beat it little bit on the rolling board, by doing in this way it stretches out little bit and folding stick together. Now apply few drops of oil and sprinkle some flour on the top as shown in the video.
  • Fold it gently and tightly, join the end part backward. flatten it little bit and rest it for 10 minutes. Do the remaining in the same procedure.
  • Dust the flattened dough with some flour or (smear with little amount of oil ) and again start rolling like a chapati by using rolling pin and do the remaining in the same procedure.
  • On the other side heat tawa or skillet on a medium heat. when the skillet is enough hot, place the rolled paratha. when you see bubbles on the top of paratha flip it and fry on the other side by applying some oil or ghee on the top and sides of paratha. Fry until you get golden spots from both the sides and do the remaining in the same procedure.
  • Here our tasty and healthy parathas are ready now. covet it and set aside.
Procedure for egg omelet:
  • Take an omelet pan on low to medium heat,  in the meanwhile into a mixing bowl add enough amount of salt, red chili powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder and a tbsp of water or even you add milk instead of water. Mix it well completely. (This mixture is for one egg omelet).
  • Now break one egg into the mixture and beat it well for few seconds. On the other side when the pan is enough hot, add a tsp oil and spread the oil to the pan completely, make sure the flame is on low to medium heat. Now add the egg mixture and spread it little bit as shown in the video.
  • when you can see the upper part of the omelet is little bit wet as shown in the video at this point place the fried paratha and press it little bit do not press it too much and fry it for a minute or until it is done on a low to medium flame. When it is done it will start to leave the edges of the pan. Now flip to other side and fold it. let it sit for few seconds. 
  • When this is done, transfer to other plate and do the remaining in the same procedure.
  • When it is done making all the egg parathas and Now take an egg paratha let's do the stuffing with veg keema, here instead of this veg keema you can also replace with mutton keema or chicken keema or prawns fry of your choice. Now fold the edges and roll it tightly. You can even just roll it tightly instead of folding it and do the remaining in the same procedure.
  • This is healthy and perfect lunch box recipe, when you are preparing for lunch box wrap veg keema egg paratha with aluminum foil, so that will be warm before having it. you can serve this veg keema egg paratha as a breakfast, lunch or dinner.
