Urad Dal Ladoo Recipe | Minapa Sunnundalu Recipe | Sunnundalu Recipe | బెల్లం సున్నుండలు | సున్నండలు తయారుచేయు విదానం


Urad Dal Ladoo (Minapa Sunnundalu) is a Traditional Sweet dish prepared during the Diwali Festival, Baby Shower (known as Srimantham in Telugu). It is simple to prepare, tastes Yummy and is High in Nutritious. 

These Ladoos are recommended in Ayurveda for growing kids and Pregnant Women and is considered to give strength to the backbone. When I was a kid, My mom used to prepare these ladoos often and we used to have it daily at least one ladoo. 

Especially Kids and women should have these ladoosThese Ladoos can be stored in an airtight container for at least 3 to 4 weeks.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Urad Dal
  • ¼ Cup Ghee (Clarified Butter) 
  • 1 Cup of Grated Jaggery or powdered sugar
  • 1 Tsp Cardamom Powder
  • 2 tsp’s Broken Cashews  (optional)
  • 2 tsp’s Broken Almonds  (optional)
  • Few Raisins (optional)
Procedure:
  • Dry roast urad dal in a heavy bottom pan on a medium flame until golden brown or till you get nice aroma, which take at least 10 minutes.
  • Transfer urad dal to other plate and allow it to cool down completely.
  • Now into the same pan, add 2 tsp’s of Ghee. when Ghee is nice and hot add cashews, Almonds, Raisins fry until golden brown and set aside as shown in the video.
  • Grind roasted urad dal into fine powder but little coarse powder. make sure urad dal is at room temperature.
  • Transfer to other plate add grated Jaggery or sugar, Ghee, roasted dry fruits and mix it well.
  • Make it into round shaped ladoos as shown in the video. if required, you can add more amount of ghee of your choice.
  • Here our Healthy, yummy and Tasty Ladoos are ready now. Transfer them into air tight container and serve it as a snack or starter. You can store these ladoos for about 3 to 4 weeks.

Note: 
  • In the place of Jaggery, you can also use powdered Sugar. By using sugar, ghee quantity also increases.
  • You can use milk to make the balls, but should consume on the same day.
Amazing mix of the three ingredients simply makes them melt in your mouth.....So why not try this....Trust me you will never forget this taste......:)
